Runners announce Select and Semi Pro Tryouts for Boys & Girls

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, USA, (JULY 26, 2024) Runners Soccer Club announce free tryouts for the Select and Semi - Professional teams competing in the United Premier Soccer League this Fall 2024 in the the Men, Women, and Youth Academy Divisions, at Mission City Soccer Complex, from August 5 - August 9.

Over the 5 days players will be evaluated by club staff and grouped based on age, size, technical ability, tactical awareness and availability to travel on weekends to games across the State. (Austin, Belton, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley.) Players who cannot travel will be placed on Mission City's recreational teams playing locally in leagues sanctioned by US Youth Soccer with the opportunity to guest play on the Runners UPSL Academy teams.

The regular season will officially begin the week of Sepetember 9 and will run until the end of December followed by Conference and National Playoffs.

After players are placed on their teams there will be a MANDATORY in person Parent and Player Oreintation explaining everything about the club while highlighting the details of the upcoming 2024-2025 Season and fees. Following orientation, families will be required to make a commitment by registering the player at the meeting and paying the $150 nonrefundable deposit for Select and $200 for Semi Pro.

Wednesday 8/7 - Tactical Awareness and Small Sided Games

Thursday 8/8 - 7v7 & 9v9 Games followed by Orientation and Registration

Friday 8/9 - Full Field 11v11 Games
