San Antonio Warren High School graduate Gabriela Varela, a freshman woman soccer player at Texas Lutheran University, was called up to the 2023 Honduras U20 Women's National Team training camp to compete in the International Women's Tournament organized by the Union of Centro - American Futbol and FIFA Forward. 

Honduras is in Group A with Guatamala, Panama, and Belize. 

Number 6 Varela, started as a central midfielder over the weekend in the first game of the tournament helping Honduras to secure a 2 - 0 win over Belize. 

We wish her the best during the tournament and know she will do great!
