SEGUIN, Texas -- The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced today that Texas Lutheran women's soccer's Alyssa Simien (San Antonio/Warren) was one of 13 student-athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region X Second Team.

Simien adds to what was a decorated first season as a Bulldog - earning SCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-SCAC honors for a 2022 campaign that saw her set a new program record for goals by a first-year player with 16 goals on the season, overtaking the previous mark of 14 from Casey Rheman in 2003. Simien also finished second all-time with six game winners in a single-season, only trailing Sioned Kirkpatrick's seven game winners in 2015.

Simien finished third in the SCAC in goals (16) and points (35) and led the SCAC in goals per game (.842).

Simien is the first Bulldog to earn All-Region honors since defender Tara Armstrong earned Third Team All-Region honors in 2015, making Simien only the second Bulldog to earn All-Region honors since TLU Women's Soccer joined the SCAC.

The All-Region teams can be viewed in full here.
