Frisco, Texas (March 26, 2021) - North Texas Soccer Club has signed defender Michael “Mikey” Maldonado, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.

 

Maldonado, 22, signs with North Texas SC on a one-year contract with an option for the 2022 season. 

 

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Maldonado played for San Antonio Runners Soccer Club in his youth. He attended the club’s 2021 open tryout in January and was one of four players invited to participate in the team’s preseason training camp. Maldonado is the second player to sign with the club from this year’s tryout after Bernard Kamungo.
