Mass United FC (7-0-1 overall) and Milwaukee Bavarian SC (8-1-1) face off in a 2019 UPSL Spring Quarterfinal at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 21, at Chelmsford (Mass.) High School.
Mass United FC comes into the game as back-to-back winners of the UPSL Northeast Conference. The club currently is riding a four-game winning streak following a regular season during which it conceded only 10 goals and finished with a plus-19 goal differential.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Bavarian SC looks to defend its title as 2018 UPSL Spring Season Champions. Bavarian SC ended its season on a sour note, however, losing via forfeit to Cedar Rapids Inferno, but bounced back in the playoffs with an impressive 10-1 victory over Vlora City FC in the Midwest Conference semifinals. In the conference final, Bavarian SC defeated Joliet United SC, 3-1, with goals from Bret Dietz, Brody Kraussel and Braden Andryk, the UPSL 2018 Spring Season MVP.
Will the dream of retaining the UPSL title continue for Milwaukee Bavarian SC?
