UPSL Announces North Texas Expansion with FORO Soccer Club

Founded in 2019, Dallas (Texas)-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL

July 16, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce FORO Soccer Club as a member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Dallas (Texas), FORO Soccer Club will begin UPSL play in the Central Conference and play its UPSL home games at FORO Sports Club (14725 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75254) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "We are pleased to welcome FORO Soccer Club to the UPSL Central Conference. Dallas continues to grow clubs of depth and quality, and FORO Soccer Club will be an overwhelmingly positive addition to the competitive Pro/Rel structure in place. Owner Bob Peinado, Jr. can pull some big-time strings in the real estate market, and Foro Sports Club is an outstanding facility that will be a jewel in the Central Conference. We wish FORO Soccer Club success as it prepares for the 2019 Fall Season."

Bob Peinado, Jr., is Owner of FORO Soccer Club. A native of El Paso (Texas), Peinado, Jr., is a Real Estate Developer and Owner of FORO Sports Club, a $25 million, 13.5-acre sports complex built in 2018.

FORO Soccer Club Owner Bob Peinado, Jr., said, "This is the next competitive level for FORO Sports Club.  Joining the UPSL will elevate our level of soccer and will offer our athletes a competitive 11v11 league to play in.  It's 'Foro' as in the Roman 'Forum', which was the life center of the community and the place where like-minded people gather. So FORO Sports Club is where athletes come to train, play and recover at a pro-quality level. Soccer is our core sport, and I'm in the business of providing professional quality products and services for the athlete that is passionate about play."

Rick Castillo is a Minority Partner of FORO Sports Club. A Dallas native and a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Castillo is co-owner of FORO Soccer Club.

Robert Z. Peinado is General Manager of FORO Soccer Club. A Dallas native, Peinado is a Villanova University alum.

Former Brazilian international Michel Garbini Pereira will serve as Head Coach of FORO Soccer Club. Garbini Pereira played the 2019 Season with North Dallas SC (USL League One).

Leyla Peinado is Marketing Director for FORO Soccer Club. A resident of Brooklyn, (N.Y.), Peinado is a graduate of NYU.

FORO Sports Club offers a variety of youth and adult recreation soccer leagues. and features a youth training academy hosted by B-Elite Soccer's Dallas affiliate. The club also hosts FORO SKILLS led by Garbini Pereira, and FORO FIT and Performance Training led by Trevor Briggs.

The club will host tryouts in July and August, and soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.

FORO Soccer Club is an American Soccer club currently based in Dallas, Texas, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. FORO Soccer Club will begin play in the UPSL Central Conference.

Founded in 2019, FORO Soccer Club can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 400-plus teams targeted for 2019 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
